Baku, October 22, AZERTAC
Organized by the Studying of Economic Resources Public Union (SER), the 3rd Islamic Finance Forum (IMF26) was held in Baku on October 22.
The event commenced with a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the 44-day Patriotic War, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, and a recitation from the Holy Quran.
The forum featured three panel sessions, focused on the development of Islamic finance, Islamic banking, and the implementation of sukuk, leasing, and microfinance products, alongside discussion on professional training and international certification in the field.
According to SER, the forum’s objective was to discuss global and regional trends, current challenges, and prospects in Islamic finance; strengthen cooperation among government bodies, financial institutions, academia, and the private sector; and promote new initiatives to support the development of Azerbaijan’s Islamic finance ecosystem.
The 3rd Islamic Finance Forum served as a platform for dialogue among government agencies, the financial sector, academia, and key stakeholders in Islamic finance.
